Our Model
The Vann Group is a Professional Services Outsourcing (PSO) organization that is dedicated to providing small/mid-size businesses with targeted outsourced professional services that are as convenient as having an in-house resource but without the cost and the frustrations of having a dedicated staff.
So what exactly does that mean?
It means that we provide the traditional services like accounting & bookkeeping, consulting and recruiting that you’ve come to expect from professional services firms, but we do ours with a bit of a twist. Unlike most, we don’t look at the services we provide as being required business activities, but rather an opportunity to create, maximize, and ultimately realize the unlocked value in every company.
How do we take business activities like human resources, bookkeeping and talent acquisition/retention and turn them into value creators? Well, it starts with our organizations five guiding principles:
- Have the Right People on the Bus. Every service business begins and ends with its people. We recognize that and are proud of the team we have to offer our clients. They are bright, energetic, disciplined and dedicated to doing what’s right for our customer. Our team is the face of our companies and the best resource we have to offer our clients.
- Employ Best Practices. There is a reason why Jiffy Lube can change your oil for $19.95 while everyone else is more; it’s because they’ve identified best practices and repeat them over and over again to drive efficiency. We use the same concept in all of our businesses; we identify the best practices for undertaking a service and build our practices around it.
- Use Technology as an Accelerator. We love technology and use it when we can, but we recognize that technology in of itself is not a solution. Consequently, we utilize technologies that enable our best practices so we can deliver our services more efficiently and affordably.
- Be Inventive. We think its great to be innovative and come up with the latest and greatest but we prefer to be inventive because inventive people and organizations focus on making things work. Our goal isn’t to be the first out the gate with an idea, but to be the best at executing on it.
- Remember the Bottom Line. It’s easy to build the best systems, processes and procedures when you have unlimited resources. We recognize that our clients have limited budgets and need to be cognizant of what they spend. All of our offerings are developed with the recognition that regardless of how good they are, they don’t help our clients if they can’t afford them.
